Shigeru Kitamura, CEO of Kitamura Economic Security Inc., participated in a panel discussion titled “Between Collective Defense and Collective Security: Toward a New Security Architecture in East Asia” at Jeju Forum 2026, held on Jeju Island, South Korea, on June 24, 2026.

The session was moderated by Robert Hill, former Australian Minister for Defence, and featured Suh Wook, former Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Korea, Harry Harris, former U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Korea and former Commander of the U.S. Pacific Command, and Shigeru Kitamura as panelists.

During the discussion, the participants shared their views on changes in the security environment in East Asia, regional cooperation, and challenges in building a new security architecture for the region.
